The Sony Ericsson W715 is yet another stunning slider from Sony Ericsson, and this one is a Walkman phone.
The screen of the Sony Ericsson W715 measures 2.4 inches which is a good size. Just beneath it you have some dedicated music buttons to change tracks and the volume, and next to these are a few call buttons like call answer/end. The Sony Ericsson W715 measures 95 x 47.5 x 14.3 mm and weighs 98 grams, so it is quite light. At the moment the mobile phone is on offer in two colours, which are Black or Silver.
Being a Walkman phone, the music player does take precedent. There is even an FM Radio. Apart from having excellent sound and speakers, there are also some advanced music features typical from a Walkman phone. These are TrackID - record a few seconds of a song and you will be sent back to artists and song's name; ShakeMe - change tracks and adjust volume by shaking the phone; SendsMe - to match the play list to your mood, although I don't know exactly how this will work. The internal memory is set to 120mega bytes, but can be increases using a MicroSD card to 4GB. It also includes something called Album Art, which is a funky feature for displaying your pictures.
The camera on the Son Ericsson W715 has 3.2 mega pixels with autofocus and digital zoom. Some advanced camera features include Photo Light and Photo Fix, as well as Geo-tagging - so you will always know where a picture was taken. You will also be able to take fairly high quality videos with the phone.
There are the usual array of applications on the
Sony Ericsson W715, which include an organiser, calendar, handsfree speaker etc. The screen will also rotate as you turn the phone and there is Google Maps and Vodafone Find and Go pre loaded.
